
I don’t know why this game is so popular but it is – fun for playing in the car or while waiting – great in its simplicity.

We made up this game the other day while waiting for our lunch to arrive. I had taken my niece, aged 14, and children, aged 7 and 4, out for a quick lunch. It turned out to be a long wait. We had to come up with something fast – the kids had already downed their drinks and were itching to get down and run around while other people close by were trying to enjoy a peaceful meal. Been there?

We have just returned from a trip to visit Nana & Pops and played this on the way – very simple idea that both my kids loved.

This is a fun game for slightly older children and can be played with a road atlas in the back of the car as you’re driving along. That is provided you’re not all sat navved up and don’t use one any more, or, if you do, that you don’t need it while the kids want to play
