I don’t know why this game is so popular but it is – fun for playing in the car or while waiting – great in its simplicity.
We made up this game the other day while waiting for our lunch to arrive. I had taken my niece, aged 14, and children, aged 7 and 4, out for a quick lunch. It turned out to be a long wait. We had to come up with something fast – the kids had already downed their drinks and were itching to get down and run around while other people close by were trying to enjoy a peaceful meal. Been there?
The guesser has to guess what letter, shape, number or word is being traced on their hand. Simple but fun! Who can resist a tickle or a mystery and this game involves both.

We used to play this game at Christmas time and I remember my brother and I thinking it was exciting because it was called ‘Black Magic’ (cue fond memories of chocolate assortments).
