Personalised Gift Voucher

Personalised Gift Voucher

To celebrate the launch of our brand new personalised gift vouchers we’re giving away a £25 voucher.

You know what it’s like when you can’t get to the shops or aren’t sure what to buy someone?

Well now our bright and cheery personalised gift vouchers can come to the rescue!

Who doesn’t remember that excitement of opening up a voucher as a child and thinking of all the possible things you could spend it on? A KidsTravel2 gift voucher will show you’ve put some real thought into the kind of present your young adventurer would like while leaving the final decision up to them.

We’ve got literally bags of exciting goodies (excuse the pun) to inspire young travellers.

What makes this different from a normal gift voucher you buy online?

Well for starters we’ll post it out for you (for FREE to a UK address!) so that the recipient has something tangible to hold in their hand rather than just a code sent via email.

And when they open it up they’ll see a personalised message from you and any photo you’d like to include to brighten up their day and let them know you’re thinking of them.

Here’s how to enter:

1. First tweet the following message;

Have you seen @KidsTravel2 are giving away a personalised gift voucher RT & Follow #KidsTravel2Giveaway

and / or

Like our facebook page & leave us a travel tip or favourite travel game to play with the kids.

2. Then leave a comment on this blog – share your best travel tip or favourite travel game to play with the kids .

We will draw a winner from all the entries received by 9pm on Thursay 14th Feb 2013. Our decision is final and there are no cash alternatives. We’ll announce the prizewinner on this page and notify them via the email used to post on this site or via direct message on twitter.

Finally please note that this draw is for UK RESIDENTS ONLY.

This competition is now closed.  Congratulations to Sarah Cooper who wins the gift voucher :)

When buying baby stuff for the first time consider buying travel versions of items, e.g. a cot moile that is a toy projector that can be placed anywhere in a room – not just on a cot. Or a changing bag that can double as an overnight bag. Also ask other parents what they could not be without for their little one whilst on holiday, or go to travel websites or blogs for ideas – I use alot!

My best travel tip is to invest in a lap tray suited for in the car- they are perfect for drawing and colouring on.

My best travel tip for long car journeys is to make up a bag of new fun activities. Depending on the length of the journey I usually include a new story CD that we can listen to for part of the journey, a magazine, a new book, colouring book and crayons, a healthy snack, a pack of cards and a travel game. If we are travelling a very long way I will include a new DS game too. My children always look forward to the goodie bag and the new activities are always useful to pass the time in a hotel room too.

My best tip is people always remember about colouring books and entertainment for the journey there but always forget about the journey home so my tip is to have two of everything but not let the kids see the stuff for the journey home then they also have a little surprise too.

Obvious but, always pack a full change of clothes for everyone in hand luggage. Useful for the inevitable spills and for when the bags don’t arrive.

  6. For a long haul flight wrap up lots of small presents to be opened every hour of the journey. These can be freebee magazine toys you may have stashed away and cheap ‘pocket money’ toys from Hawkins Bazaar and the Pound Shop. I might seem over the top but happy kids on a flight equals happy parents!
